Forkiest.com (“Forkiest”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and safeguard your information when you use our web app. Forkiest is operated by UXTOCODE LTD, our parent company.

Uploaded food and ingredient photos, submitted for AI-based recognition and recipe suggestions
Shopping lists and saved recipes
Payment and billing information, processed on our behalf by our payment processor (we do not store full card numbers ourselves)

Error and diagnostic data if the app encounters a problem while you're using it

2. How We Use Your Information

Generate AI-based meal and recipe suggestions, including analyzing photos you upload to identify ingredients or recipes
Generate AI illustrations for recipes when this feature is used
Create and manage your shopping lists and saved items
Process payments for paid plans

Respond to customer inquiries and support needs

3. Legal Bases (for EU/EEA Users)

Under the GDPR, we rely on these legal bases to process your data:

4. Sharing Your Data

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers who help us run Forkiest, each acting on our behalf for the specific purpose below:

Google Firebase and Google Cloud (authentication, database, file storage, and application hosting)
Google Gemini (analyzing photos you upload to identify ingredients or recipes, and generating AI recipe/meal suggestions)
Replicate (generating AI illustrations for recipes, when this feature is used — recipe text is sent as a prompt; your uploaded photos are not sent to this provider)
Upstash (caching your recipe and suggestion data and enforcing rate limits, so the app responds quickly and fairly under load)
Stripe (processing payments for paid plans; Stripe receives your payment details directly, we do not store full card numbers)
Sentry (error and performance monitoring, to help us diagnose and fix problems)
Google Analytics: browsing/usage analytics only if you have accepted analytics cookies (see our Cookie Policy). Separately, when you start a checkout, complete a payment, or change your subscription, we send a hashed, non-reversible version of your account ID and that specific event (e.g. "checkout started", "checkout completed", "subscription cancelled") to Google Analytics for revenue and funnel reporting — these transaction and checkout-funnel records are sent regardless of your cookie choice, including if you start checkout but never complete payment, under our legitimate interest in measuring and reconciling revenue, not under cookie consent
OpenAI: when you submit a recipe that includes an ingredient we don't already have nutrition data for, we send that ingredient's name, category, known aliases, unit, and any notes to OpenAI to generate a nutrition estimate. We do not send your full recipe, your account details, or any photos to OpenAI. We also use OpenAI separately for internal, admin-only nutrition-data curation tooling that does not involve your personal content.

5. International Transfers

If you are located outside of the U.S., your data may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. or other countries. We use Standard Contractual Clauses and other safeguards to protect international data transfers.
